Maternity Style

I am not hear to bash Kim K. but I really think she needs some help with her pregnancy styling, I am saying this like a friend. I think she is a great example of: you can't always continue to dress the way you normally would when your pregnant. You usually see Kim K. in tight dress, pencils skirts and sky high heels. That's great for pre pregnancy body but sometime you have to change your style a little for more flattering looks.

I honestly think she looks amazing in this bikini and then you see her in this flowered frock: it's just not good. There are plenty more pictures like that. I think if she wore more maxi dresses and flowy pieces it would be more flattering on her. And those tight clothes can't be comfortable.

Pregnant bodies come in all shapes and size and all can be beautiful if styled the right way. Being pregnant myself, I know how important it is to me to feel good in my clothes and I think what you put on can make or break that.

Any pregnancy styling tips for me?

Rodan and Fields Update

I have been using the Redefine Regimen for a little over a month now. I have seen some great improvements in my skin. It not only looks and feels smoother, I am loving the way my skin looks with no makeup on. My pores have gotten smaller in most areas and I am still working on improving some other stubborn ones. I have had a few breakouts but I know that is due to the clay cleanser pulling out all the impurities and unclogging my pores ( I am also pregnant so that could have something to do with it!) Remember the old phrase "It gets worse before it gets better."

Back From Vacay!

We just got back from a little getaway to Carmel/Monterey area. Have you been there? It is gorgeous! We met some good friends who recently move to Northern Cal. there and had a grande time. I meant to do a post before I left about packing but time got away from me. This trip was a packing challenge. The weather could be anywhere from 58 degrees to 75 degrees. This is not normal for me living in Texas, I either wear winter clothes or summer clothes; not much in between. I am so bad at layering and then add in being 18 weeks pregnant.

So I settled on lots of jeans, 3 jackets, some dresses and scarves. And it always happens: I have a suitcase full of clothes and nothing to wear!

I highly suggest visiting Carmel and if you do, you must do the 17 mile drive to Pebble Beach. One of the prettiest places I have ever seen. I have also just discovered the app Beautiful Mess. It is super cute and can't wait to keep playing with it.

So if you need a little help with your next vacation here are some of my suggestions. When in doubt bring lots of accessories with your best basics. Easy to pack and easy to decide when your in a pinch.

Good Hair Thursday: Met Gala Style

Still not really sure what the Met Gala is but it appears to be just another event were celebrities get dress up and we civilians gawk over them. Apparently this years theme was punk. Lots of interesting hair looks but here are some of my favorites.

Store Envy

Anthropologie just kills me sometimes, more like always. I WANT EVERYTHING! It is such the perfect mix of effortlessness, boho, lady like and on trend store out there yet I feel like you could have a piece from there forever. I love it, even though my husband calls it an "overpriced garage sale" every time he goes in.
