Shopbop Sale

Shopbop is one of my favorite clothing sites but I don't get to shop it quite as often as I would like. It's a little pricey for my budget but when their Friends and Family sale is going on it's a good time to go for it.

25% off all full priced and sale items with code: INTHEFAMILY14 until Thursday April 17

Here are some of my favorites

Good Hair Thursday: Ombre

The warm weather upon us (or at least for us down south), ombre color screams SUMMER. Weather your a brunette or blond, you can pull off ombre. I know some of you may be wondering if this trend is over? I say no. Think of it like this: naturally, hair is lighter on the ends. The sun hits the outside layer of your hair and because most of our ends are more damaged than the roots, the ends tend to lighten faster. So back to the ombre look, I say it can look really natural. Go for it!

Highs and Lows

Can you guess the highs and the lows? No? A good reminder to mix it up a bit.

Pineapple Crazy

I have always liked pineapples, not just to eat but their shape.  Lately I have been seeing a lot of pineapples in home decor and in fashion. I am loving it!

Love this tee, you just may see it on next months budget. Sincerely Jules $36

I ordered this tea towel from H&M for $4.95. I may frame it and hang it in my kitchen

This print is beautiful. Society 6

This one is just too cute.  Oh Joy for Land of Nod

Accentuating Your Eyes With Mascara

If you have ever had lash extensions or worn falsies you may have noticed they don't all look the same. They come in all different shapes and sizes and are applied differently for a reason, they can change your look. Just like a good haircut can accentuate your face, so can your eyes.

There are two different ways you can do it: accentuating the middle lashes or accentuating the outside corners.  I am going to show you how you can do that with 3D Fiber Lashes. I posted a review about them a few weeks ago and fell in love so I became a presenter!

So I had an idea: why couldn't I use the 3D Fiber Lashes to accentuate the shape of my eyes? I can! Instead of spending hundreds on lash extensions or fumbling with false lashes, you can easily apply and accentuate your look.

My eyes are wide set and I have the curse of hooded eyes. You know how the skin above your eye droops? Part genetics and Part age. So to really open up my eyes, I concentrate on applying the 3D Fiber Lashes to the middle of my eyes. This look works great for Hooded Eyes, Deep Set Eyes, Wide Set Eyes and Round Eyes

I started with one coat of mascara on each eye, one layer of 3D Fiber Lash mascara, then for the second layer I concentrated on the middle of my lashes to really make them long. It creates a more wide eyed look, hopefully disguising the hooded eye lid.

If your eyes are Narrow Set or you are going for the Cat Eyed look, focus your 3D Fiber Lash Mascara on the outside part of your lashes.

Here I did the same as above but focused the second coat of 3D Fiber Lash only on the outside of my lashes. I also added a one coat to the outside bottom lashes.

Here is a picture side by side to see the difference, like I said my eyes are wide set so the picture on the right doesn't create the same effect as it would on someone with narrow set eyes. But you get the picture?

March Budget

So clearly, I did not major in Economics because I have yet again gone over budget. I am sure you are wondering why I can't control myself or why not just raise the amount. Well, I am human and there have been some major sales going on!

So I have a monthly clothing budget of $100. That maybe a little for you or a lot for you but that is what I have allotted myself. I intend on making thoughtful choices with this $100. Some months I may spend the $100 on one thing or 10 things(if I know me it will be the 10 things). But I will try to stick to it. Can't make any promises if JCrew is having a sale.

Here is what I got this month:

The coral dress and the flowy top are both from Ruche. The dress is so much better in person. I think it may be my Easter dress and I just may wear it in some upcoming family pictures. The skirt is from JCrew. I had been pining over it for months and just waited for the sale to go an extra 50% off. It is PERFECT. Of course I can't wear it now because I haven't gotten back to my pre pregnancy weight but it will be waiting for me. The shoes are from Old Navy and were $10 each so I couldn't resist. I have always had good luck with Old Navy shoes. The black sweater is from Target and a great spring purchase. I wanted one after I posted a pic of Olivia Palermo in one that was similar mesh sweater.

Dress $62.99
Shirt $42.99
*got $30 off the Ruche items
Skirt $48- kinda similar
Sweater $22.99
Shoes $20

Total :: $166.97

So I may have blown Aprils budget too!
