My wonderful and resourceful sister called me a few months ago saying...
"You know how we were talking about wanting leather pants?"
I said, "Yeah"
"Well, I was at the Gap and they were having a extra 40 percent off sale items and they had these faux leather leggings on sale for $25 (they were reg. $79). They had your size and I bought them for you and I got some too."
Ok, the math may not add up but I can't remember all the details,I just know they were $25.
I reply "Thanks!!"
When I get them, they are my size but are extremely fitted. There is a special tag on them that say
skin tight. I think this is a warning tag. My sister reminded me of the friends episode were Ross has issues with getting his leather pants back on. Hilarious!
Anyway, I kept them but am waiting for cooler weather. My other pause is that I will definetly need tops that cover my booty. They show every little detail and that isn't always pretty. I guess this is the case for any kind of legging but these are extreme. Don't get me wrong, I like them, just have to be careful what you wear with them.
Gap Faux Leather Leggings
Beige Against the Machine Sweater (Cream Sweater)
Baniel knitted cotton-blend jacket (Black and White Cardigan)
Joe's Jeans black leather 'Sienna' jeweled and studded flats
Earthies - Halley (Black Kid Suede) - Footwear
I think the big oversized sweater with flats make them more casual and balances out the tightness on the bottom. The other sweater is dressier with the booties. I would wear a long tank underneath.
Did you get any leather this season (faux or the real thing)?
