How To: Using Dry Shampoo and a Giveaway

I know what your thinking. How am I, the girl with no hair, going to show you how to use dry shampoo? I am not but my friend Lisa, from the blog Rach and Me a fun food blog, is going to demonstrate for us.

Batiste has come out with a new Dry Shampoo with a Hint of Color. They were nice enough to send some to me to obviously try out on a friend to see how I liked it. I love the original Batiste line of dry shampoos so the Batiste Hint of Color is just a bonus. Why would you need color, you ask? It can help disguise those nasty grays that sneak up on you or grown out roots so nobody has to know. This is the first, that I know of, inexpensive brand of dry shampoos to have a hint of color. The others that I know of cost anywhere from $25 and up. I love a bargain and at $8.99 you can't beat it. Other benefits to dry shampoo include: added body, banishes oil, and refreshes your style.

Here is how to use it:
Here is Lisa before. She hadn't washed her hair that day and it was pulled back in a ponytail.

Keep your usual part and lift up about a half and inch section

Shake the can well and spray onto the roots. Lisa had just colored her hair so the shampoo blended really well with her hair.

 Use your fingers to work in the powder. This helps if you get too much in one area.

Keep going until you feel like you have enough in your hair.

She is spraying into her roots. She looks scare doesn't she? Don't worry it's not scary!

I sprayed a little on my hand so you can see the color. Again this is Dark and Deep Brown. As you can see it comes out fairly light but you can still get too much in one area so spray swiftly. You can always add more. Shake the can well.

If you are trying to disguise gray hair or grown out roots spray directly on your part. Also, be careful with your clothes while using this. The color will wash out and is not permanent. It's just something to get you by before you get to the salon.  It also smells fantastic! You can find all the Batiste products at Ulta.
